Hi, friends! I hope you all are having a great week! How horrible is everything going on in Houston? Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected! I reached out to another blogger this morning who is heading up collecting donations that are needed! I am going to gather some baby clothes and blankets this afternoon and ship them to her. I cannot imagine having to go through something like that!
We made it through another week of Whole30- 22.5 days to be exact! This post was going to go up yesterday, but you know life happens and things just don’t go as planned! Things are still going pretty good with Whole30! We really aren’t craving anything and now it just seems like our new normal! I mentioned this on Instagram stories yesterday, but incase you missed it, we’ve decided to pretty much continue eating paleo 80% of the time. In all honesty, I’ll just be adding in wine and maybe my beloved Chick Fil-A from time to time! Oh and chips- I miss chips! I ordered this cookbook over the weekend and am really excited to start looking through it!
Here is what are week of meals looked like this past week:
Monday- Breakfast: Banana and 2 egg cups. Lunch: Zoe’s Kitchen. I had the shrimp skewers, potato salad and greek salad minus the feta. Dinner: Scrambled eggs, Chicken and Apple Sausage and berries.
Tuesday- Breakfast: Egg cups (same as Monday). Lunch: I had a migraine and wasn’t feeling well, so I had a few scoops of TJ’s Mixed Nut Butter. I haven’t told you about my love for this stuff- IT IS AMAZING!!!!! Dinner- Chicken Pesto Spaghetti Squash. This pesto is the best pesto we’ve ever made at home. I highly recommend this recipe!
Wednesday- Breakfast: RX Bar. If you haven’t tried these, they’re really good! My favorites are Blueberry and Mixed Berry. Lunch: Chicken Soup that I pulled from the freezer. Dinner: Egg Roll in a Bowl– another GREAT one!
Thursday- Breakfast and lunch were combined (my morning was NUTS getting ready for Millie Cate’s party that afternoon): Dried apples, compliant hot dog with mustard and two pickles. Dinner: I honestly don’t even know if I ever ate! It was Millie Cate’s party and we couldn’t eat anything at the party. We had pizza and cake at the party and mommy and daddy didn’t cheat!
Friday- Breakfast: Another RX bar. Lunch: Millie Cate and I met Cat for lunch at Zoe’s. I had the same thing as Monday, except I did the steak skewers instead of the the shrimp. The steak was much better in my opinion. Dinner: I wasn’t very hungry, I had a plumcot and a handful of nuts. I know, not the best dinner…
Saturday- Breakfast: Larabar. Lunch: Burger with mushrooms and pickles. Dinner: didn’t really eat much, we had a late lunch. As I am typing all of this out- I realize that I didn’t really eat enough this week. Ooops!
Sunday- Breakfast: As usual, I didn’t have breakfast because I went to Weight Watchers. Lunch: Compliant Kielbasa with a side of cucumbers marinated in Zoe’s dressing. Dinner: leftovers from the week.
Overall this week we had really good meals! I will say, I don’t feel like I have been as hungry this week. And to be honest, I am over it now. It’s not so much the food that is bothering me, it is being so restricted. I feel like I can’t go to certain things because it is a pain to have to ask 45 questions before I order. And I miss my wine on days where my girls are a mess! I have actually decided that this week I am going to add occasional wine back in. I have a few social events, and I want to be able to enjoy a glass of wine with friends during them! Call it giving up or cheating if you wish, but it is what works for me and honestly that is all that matters!
We are in the short rows and are looking forward to weighing and measuring ourselves to see the results! That brings me to another rule we are breaking, we’ve been weighing ourselves! I am going to wait to share the numbers until the end though!
I hope you all have a fantastic rest of your day!
