Well friends, we’ve survived another week of Whole30! And you know what….we feel AMAZING!! I really wish we would have done this sonner, but I really always thought that we would never make it.
Here are a few notes from this week:
We both feel overall healthier- which I’m sure we are!
We have more energy.
Our cravings are pretty much gone, except for my wine! I will admit that I cheated on Saturday and had a small glass while I had a pedicure with one of my besties!
We can both tell a difference in the way our clothes are fitting.
I feel like people think that you are really limited with the foods you can eat, and can only eat grilled chicken and veggies and that is just not true! We had some delicious meals this week and even ate out!
Sunday: I skipped breakfast because I went to my Weight Watchers meeting. I usually don’t eat breakfast on these days! Lunch- Kielbasa with mushrooms, green peppers and potatoes all sauteed in a pan. Dinner was this Creamy Chicken Tomato Soup and I highly recommend it!
Monday: Breakfast- Bacon, 2 eggs and fruit. Lunch- I met my grandmother for lunch at Chipotle. I had a salad with the carnitas, medium salsa, and guacamole on the side. I used the salsa and lime juice as my dressing. Dinner- I didn’t really feel like cooking so we had hot dogs, pickles and fruit.
Tuesday: Breakfast- Brynlee had a new student breakfast at school, so my only option was fruit. Lunch- leftover soup. Dinner- Trader Joe’s Chili Lime Chicken Burgers, broccoli in the air fryer and fruit.
Wednesday: Breakfast- scrambled eggs and fruit. Lunch- Leftover soup. Dinner- We had meet the teachers at Brynlee’s school so we ran to Zoe’s afterward. We both had the shrimp skewers, potato salad and the greek salad without the feta. I LOVE feta, so that was hard to leave off!
Thursday: Breakfast- RX Bar. Lunch- Brynlee picked Chuy’s for her back to school lunch. Bill and I both got the combo fajitas and just ate the meat and veggies. Dinner- we had Bacon Ranch Chicken Poppers. I had high hopes for these- but they have been out least favorite meal so far.
Friday: Breakfast- RX Bar..again. Lunch- Leftovers from Chuy’s. Dinner- we had breakfast. Bacon, Sausage, eggs, and fruit.
Saturday: Brunch- we met two of my best friends for brunch and I ordered a salad without the cheese, added chicken and brought my own dressing. Dinner- Chicken Apple Sausage and potatoes.
Sunday: Breakfast- I skipped Breakfast again because of Weight Watchers. Lunch- Burger and pickles. Dinner- A big salad topped with beef tenderloin.
Overall it was a really good week and I even managed to work out once! HA! This week we should enter the “Tiger Blood” phase, and are both looking forward to the burst of energy they talk about!
We have a super busy week this week with lots of fun stuff planned!
Happy Monday! I hope it is fabulous!!
