Here we are back from yet another break! I’ll be honest, I thought when we made the decision for Brynlee to go to full time a Pre-K Program (7:45am-2:30pm) that I would have more free time for this little space. Well for the first time in my very short and young life I was WRONG! This school year has been so busy! It has been busy, but so wonderful and I wouldn’t trade a second of it. Making the decision to put her at the school we did, was absolutely the right choice for our family! She has learned so much this year and I am looking forward to seeing her grow there.
Moving on…Dance Galas! Which by way, why are they not called recitals anymore? Their theme was Alice in Wonderland. I’ve watched that movie at least 500 times, it is my all time favorite. When Brynlee came home and said she was Alice, I MAY have shed a tear. When Brynlee came home and said she was going to be the first little kid on stage for her gala, I MAY have shed a bucket of tears. I would share a picture of my little Alice, but mom fail- I didn’t take any. I did have professional ones of her taken in her Alice costume at the studio, I just haven’t picked them up yet! I do have lots of pictures of the Mad Hatter (Brynlee) and Tweedle Dee (Millie Cate).
Brynlee’s gala was on Saturday and Millie Cate’s was on Sunday. We followed that with three days of school then HELLO summer. We were able to sneak in a sleepover with her bestie and two pool days along with packing for vacation last week too! Speaking of packing, do you use packing cubes? If so, do you love them? Hate them? I just tried them and I wasn’t seeing the hype around them. Maybe I wasn’t using them right?
We had a wonderful and much needed vacation! The Allens are welcoming summer with open arms. Well maybe not the extreme heat!
